Jennifer Farmer

Jennifer Farmer moved to the Rome from Cedartown, GA in 2012. While in Cedartown, she was a member of the Junior Service League for ten years as well as President in 2008. The League was able to help make certain that all children in Polk County received hearing and vision tests as well as supported their artistic dreams at the Arts Festival held every year in April. Before living in Rome, she had strong ties with the community as well as a desire to help others. She followed in her father’s footsteps and joined The Midday Optimist Club here and became president. It allowed her to work with so many delightful and talented citizens who love the children in this area and have a heart of service. Both her children attended St Mary’s school here in Rome where she was the President of the PTO for two years and on the board for many activities that gave her great joy.

Jennifer married Ted Farmer in 2017 and along with Connor and Haley has a wonderful stepson Brandon who is finishing his Master’s Degree at Berry College. Connor is attending Maryville College in Tennessee, and Haley is in her Senior year at Pepperell High School.

Jennifer began working in healthcare as a pharmaceutical representative back in 2005 and has continued that same pathway to the present. During the last 15 years while calling on multiple physician offices here in NW Georgia, she saw that there are so many terrible diseases that strike multiple men and women in this country and are debilitating. However, after watching several of her closest friends cope with their adult parents being ravaged by Alzheimer’s, she had a desire to begin finding some way to promote help for anyone having to deal with that disease. Moving forward, she hopes that her involvement with this year’s A Night to Remember Adult Prom Court will show others in Rome, GA that we care about the people enduring this disease as well as their caregivers by giving to the Alzheimer’s Association.
