Brad Roberson is a Division Chief of Operations for the Rome/Floyd County Fire Department. He has moved through the ranks since he first began as a Firefighter in 1998. He is responsible for the day to day operations of the Suppression Division. He is also in charge of Special Operations and over the members of the Georgia Search and Rescue (GSAR) for our local department.
Brad has received his Bachelor of Science in Fire Science and is currently working on his Master’s in Public Administration. He has numerous certifications as well. These include Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Inspector, and Fire Instructor. He is also co-chair of the City of Rome’s employee engagement team and a member of the Brotherhood of Firefighters (BOF). Brad has played an important role in the Fire Department’s fundraising efforts for Toys for Tots. Over the last two years, there has been a substantial increase in donations.
Brad is the proud father of two children, an 18-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son. He enjoys horseback riding, playing basketball, and riding ATV’s in his spare time. He is also the son of retired Assistant Police Chief, Lonzo Roberson and brother to Captain Dave Roberson of the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
