Jackson Abercrombie was born and raised in Floyd County and graduated from Pepperell High School in 2005. Upon graduation he attended Shorter University where he played football on the inaugural team. During his career, he was named to the NAIA Top Scholar Athlete List as well as multiple nominations for Football Academic All-Conference. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. Upon graduation he stayed at shorter where he was a Graduate Assistant Defensive Line Coach while he obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Jackson works in the Sales / Client Relations Department at Professional Screening & Information (PSI) which provides pre-employment background checks to its clients. He is very involved in the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce as well as the Rome Floyd Chamber where he serves on the Small Business Action Council as well as serving as the vice-Chair of the Rome Floyd Chamber Ambassadors.
He and his wife Heather are active members at Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church.
