Shane Rehberg has a passion for aiding our senior community! He has spent the last 10 years working with seniors in various positions at several assisted living and memory care communities. During this time, he has witnessed how Alzheimer’s disease affects residents and family members and sought out a way to help. He started getting involved with community groups to help raise money for Alzheimer’s research and organizes an annual fundraiser called Springfest to support The Alzheimer’s Association.

Shane currently serves as the Marketing Director for Winthrop Court Senior Living and is helping to develop a memory care community onsite at Winthrop Court, scheduled to open later this year. He is excited to be a part of this new memory care development and knows it will help to serve a needs of Rome, GA and surrounding areas.

Shane is a Roman by choice, not by birth. Shane fell in love with Rome while traveling through the area several years ago, and parts of downtown reminded him of his hometown of Thomasville, GA. He also fell in love with a girl from Rome - Nicole Collins, who he married in 2014. In his spare time, Shane enjoys spending time with his wife Nicole, his two children Harper and Luke, and their two pugs Yoda and Vader. During the week, you might catch Shane serenading seniors at one of the local senior communities with his guitar and microphone. Shane also plays music at local restaurants, bars and events.

Shane is honored to be a part of this year’s A Night to Remember: An Adult Prom benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, and was flattered to be nominated to the Prom Court. He hopes that his participation will help raise funds to fight this debilitating disease.
